Sulky Wash Away stabilizers are temporary and commonly used as a topping for embroidery to prevent stitches from getting lost in dense nap or pile. They simply dissolve away with water. Wash away stabilizers can be used for a wide variety of projects. Transfer a design onto fabric for quilting or use as a pattern guide for appliqué. Once the stabilizer is removed only beautiful decorative stitches remain. Paper piecing is made easy with Paper Solvy since multiple copies of a design can be quickly made on a copy machine or ink-jet or bubble-jet printer. After the stitching is complete the excess paper can be torn away and any remaining bits will disappear with a thorough rinsing in water.
