(More customer reviews)This stuff is great for machine embroidery. I am making a quilt, machine embroidering every other square. This stuff keeps the stitches even and keeps the material taut in the hoop (unless the material is too thin. If so,I've been laying a strip of a paper towel between the top of the material and the hoop). The stabilizer washes out and it doesn't tear, if, and when, I have to rip out stitches. When sewing, I've found this Pellon stabilizer moves smoothly and doesn't catch or stick on the machine, causing the hoop to pop off and the whole design to be messed up. (I've had some other stabilizer that acted like glue on the sewing plate and created instant trash.) I am a novice at sewing and screw things up easily. So far, this stuff and I are working well together.

This lightweight stabilizer is terrific for machine embroidery applique and monogramming. It stabilizes the fabric during stitching and then the excess can be easily and completely washed away. It works in all water temperatures.
