(More customer reviews)I actually ordered these not for a baby's room, but to replace the super-ugly valances left in our living room by the previous homeowner. Just received these today and they are really beautiful. It's hard to see the embroidery in the washed-out photos, but I took a chance and was not disappointed. The embroidery is a light coppery-bronze color and the curtains are a fairly bright white, as shown.
The one "huh?" bit in the whole experience is that one of these things is not like the other - I ordered five, all at the same time from the same vendor (Amazon itself), opened them all up when they came, and found that one valance is a much heavier cotton than the other four. It's a thick, crisp, straight-hanging curtain panel type cotton, while the other four are very filmy and translucent. They are all very beautiful, and I have one window spaced far enough from the others that I can isolate the different valance and it doesn't look odd, but you might want to keep this possible wild card in mind if you're ordering multiple valances that need to hang right together. There would definitely be a noticeable difference if the two types were hanging together on one long window. This is the only reason I gave four stars; other than the odd difference in materials, they look beautiful.
