(More customer reviews)I bought this bed set because I wanted something with an oriental feel that was also black and white. I saw other bed sets similar to this one that got mostly bad reviews because they were poorly made, falling apart and "felt scratchy". I sort of took a gamble because there were no reviews for this particular bed set yet. So, if you're reading this it's probably because you saw the same exact bed sets I was looking at and also saw what crappy reviews they got. So here's my review!
My first impression of this bed set was that the comforter seemed really flimsy. It's quite a bit thinner than what I'm used to, but when I touched it I was pleased with how soft it feels. The top of the comforter is very soft and plushy, and the bottom has a satiny feel. The pillow cases look nice, but you'll need really large, plump pillows to fill them out. The decorative pillows accent the bed set nicely but they are a bit smaller than I imagined. Another thing I don't like is that once I put the comforter on, it didn't seem like it quite fit the bed. (I have a queen sized bed, and double checked to make sure I ordered the right size. It turns out I did.) However, once I got everything on the bed and set up, it looked pretty nice save for a few wrinkles. I was then worried that the comforter wouldn't be big enough for me and my boyfriend to share, or that it wouldn't be warm enough because of how thin it is. Thankfully, the comforter ended up being a good enough size to share AND it was super warm and cozy.
Overall, I think this bed set is good for how cheap it is. There are no visible defects from what I can see, and the embroidery isn't unraveling (yet.) Now all I'm really worried about is how it will stand up to my cats' claws, and to the washing machine. I'll probably update again later once I find out.
