(More customer reviews)I have seen this product but didn't buy it here because I can't see paying $5 shipping for a $2.50 item. Whoever wrote the product description apparently does not sew. You can't put a hoop under the feed dogs. You can slip it under the presser foot if it's narrow enough.

These are solid and are just equisitely made. Smooth, not rough like the cheap ones. I personally like the square one to give me more stitching space.
These are worth the extra bucks and if well cared for, you'll be passing this down in the family for that next generation of stitchers.

(More customer reviews)What can I say about a plastic hoop.....actually, its pretty sturdy. I have purchased others that have not been so great and I love the ability to tighten the screw on the top. Overall good product. Does not work as well at keeping stiffer, thicker fabrics taut but good for your average fabrics that are used for cross stitching.
