(More customer reviews)Just to clarify on the response from the previous reviewer. Of course this is a make-it-yourself kit. Bucilla is known for these kits and they shouldn't be penalized because the website didn't clarify this. I have over 50 of these lovely creations and consider them heirlooms to be handed down and treasured for generations to come. They certainly take time, but that's sort of the point... Within the "crafter's world" these kits are known for their excellent quality, clear instructions, washability (no dry cleaning required) and lasting bright vibrant colors. And no, I don't work for the company... :)

But, once I got a friend who sews to put it together my daughter loved it. I guess I should read the description a little better next time.

I recieved an email from Amazon this morning saying they could not get a response from the company and encouraged me to contact them directly. This afternoon Stuff 4 Scrpbooking wrote and said they were out of the item and would not be getting more. Amazon emailed shortly after and said the ordered had been cancled. Yet, if you shop Amazon the item still appears as available from Stuff 4 Scrapbooking but now it says hurry - only 3 left!

(More customer reviews)I have made many, many stockings and this one was the worst. The face is small and needs to be pre printed so that no embroidery is necessary on it. Very hard to get the mouth right. I will never make another one of these.
I have always been very good at embroidery but this was difficult.
I was so sick of it by the time I got it finished it wasn't even pretty. Hope you have better luck with it than I had.

(More customer reviews)I made this stocking for my granddaughter, having made a similar (Santa themed) one for my grandson. Both turned out great. Now I'm shopping for my third kit for the grandmunchkin-to-be. I wish there was a kit with elves and animals on it!
This is the second generation I've made Bucilla stockings for. They are cherished keepsakes. I haven't had any trouble with thin felt, and they hang just fine. They hold up to munchkins wagging them around on Christmas morning and will probably be around for my great-grandkids to inherit!
