(More customer reviews)The perfect applique shape for the cat lover. Using this with my AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter with Value Die Set I get perfectly cut kitties everytime to use on my quilts and other craft prjects. Just once I tried to cut a similar shape by hand using a printed template. Not only was it less than perfect, it took me nearly 10 minutes to do. Using this die it would be easy to get 20 or more perfectly cut kitties i less time using the Accuquil.
Someone once told me that by getting the shapes perfectly cut each time they have no character or individuality. Not true!!! Add buttons or hand cut ovals for eyes, use a little pink button for the nose, use permanent fabric ink to draw in the eyes, whiskers, etc., and you can have a lot more character than an irregularly cut shape offers. I also purchased the AccuQuilt GO! Baby Fabric Cutting Dies; Gingham Dog so I can have both shapes for animal projects of all kinds. You are limited only by your imagination.
Both the Calico Cat and Gingham Dog shapes fit great within a finished 6" square. If you're using 5" charm squares be sure you use a scant 1/4" seam and position them perfectly or they may overlap the seam and eventually come loose if you use fusible backing.
I also would like to pass along a tip for the Accuquilt dies. After using a die for a couple of times, use a fine point Sharpie or other permanent ink marker and trace the shape on the die. If you are trying to create minimal waste or doing fussy cuts, it makes it much easier to accurately position the fabric.

Tiddliwinks Under the Sea Diaper Stacker Review

(More customer reviews)This is an adorable stacker. Seams seem well sewn, though the fabric is very thin. My wife wanted to use this as a no-footprint hamper, but it's way too lightweight. It should hold our prefold diapers nicely, which is a far more appropriate use.
The cardboard "floor" arrived broken/sliced and not cut square. At first I thought it was just packing material, but the stacker cannot hold shape without a form for the floor. I'm sure we can cut a piece to fit, but this was a dissapointment.
The stacker comes with a plastic clotheshanger for hanging. This would be great if the hook swivelled, allowing one to actually hang the stacker in a useful manner.

Patches can be ironed onto Cotton, Denim, Wool, and Leather. When using a house Iron, set it to Cotton (up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit). Place a damp cloth over the patch and Iron onto desired fabric, or garment, while applying firm pressure for 30 seconds. Allow patch to cool for 5 minutes. Turn fabric over, or garment inside-out, and iron the area behind the patch, applying firm pressure again for another 30 seconds. Allow area to cool for 5 minutes. Patches can be sewed onto fabric or garments with a single or double stitch by sewing along the border of the patch.

This is a great machine for free motion quilting and piecing! I have had it for almost a month and it's getting used almost daily, no thread breakage, no needle breakage even at full speed. The only thing I wish it had was a bobbin out indicator. Totally satisfied with it.
