(More customer reviews)I have purchsed several stitching stands that were inadequate or just wouldn't function with a recliner. I even bought one that was designed to work specifically with recliners. I've wasted hundreds of dollars until I found this stand.
I am an avid advanced cross-stitcher and can sometimes stitch in excess of 12 hours a day when I'm in the middle of a project. This stand is so easy to use. My hands and arms never get tired from repeatedly having to change positions from top to bottom to complete stitches. I can easily have one hand on top of the work and one beneath it. This allows me to stitch more efficiently and it keeps my threads from frequently twisting. I love how it can accomodate several sizes of scroll frames. I can adjust the distance my work is away from me or pull the stand close up if I need too. It is very comfortable to sit on and doesn't impeded circulation or cause any discomfort. I stitch in a recliner and this is the only stand that works to my satisfaction.
It's worth EVERY cent!

It even enables me to switch projects while they're in progress. Before I would have to wait to finish one before working another or I'd have to be sure I had enough frames to fit every project.

American Dream E-Z Stitch Floor Stand No Baste Scroll Frame with Graph Holder Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this American Dream E-Z Stitch Floor Stand for my wife because she loves to cross-stitch and I thought it would be easier for her to cross-stitch with this stand since she is in a wheel chair. This item took forever to receive, and when we got it, it looked nothing like the beautiful Mahogany supposedly made out of redwood like the product information claimed. The stand we got looks like something we would buy at Walmart for $20.00. In other words... wood that is stained and not like the high quality wood product information claim it to be. It is not very sturdy but very wobbly, and even worse you have to stitch the the cross-stitch fabric to the wooden dowels in order for the stand to hold the fabric... so each time your need to move the cross-stitch fabric she has to unto the stitching and restitch it to the dowels. This Product is very deceiving and not worth $179.99. Instructions very difficult to understand. Instructions state there are accessories that can be bought separately for the stand but not listed in product information. If I could afford the postage, I would send it back and find her another cross-stitch stand. Very poor quality product for the price we paid for it. Very Very Unhappy!

(More customer reviews)The sit on part of the frame is great. However, the split rail scroll frame does not hold the fabric evenly. If it is tight on the sides it is loose in the middle. I will go back to the basting type of scroll frame.

Easy to put together, nicely made (its hard wood and I was concerned about rough edges, but its really nicely sanded and treated), its very easy to put the item you are working on in the clamp, and it is also easy to adjust the angle to get really comfy. I am working on a large cross stitch peice roughly 2feet by 1.5 feet which I have in a 17 by 17 inch frame and this stand holds it easily. It folds down to a really manageable size and so I plan to take it with me when I go on vacation in August. I can have it on my lap and put my feet up on the recliner so my back is so much happier. Highly recommended.

The frame is very easy to put together (I did it myself, with no help from the husband!), holds tension in a way that met my expectations, and made my progress much faster. The feet come loose once in a while, but the wing nuts are easy to tighten. I now feel confident attempting large and complicated projects, and I can get them done in record time!
