I have returned mine as it reflects light differently than the floss seems to. It is difficult with the new card (impossible, really) to match colors or find substitutes. I will continue using my old floss card.

(More customer reviews)I have purchsed several stitching stands that were inadequate or just wouldn't function with a recliner. I even bought one that was designed to work specifically with recliners. I've wasted hundreds of dollars until I found this stand.
I am an avid advanced cross-stitcher and can sometimes stitch in excess of 12 hours a day when I'm in the middle of a project. This stand is so easy to use. My hands and arms never get tired from repeatedly having to change positions from top to bottom to complete stitches. I can easily have one hand on top of the work and one beneath it. This allows me to stitch more efficiently and it keeps my threads from frequently twisting. I love how it can accomodate several sizes of scroll frames. I can adjust the distance my work is away from me or pull the stand close up if I need too. It is very comfortable to sit on and doesn't impeded circulation or cause any discomfort. I stitch in a recliner and this is the only stand that works to my satisfaction.
It's worth EVERY cent!

American Dream E-Z Stitch Floor Stand No Baste Scroll Frame with Graph Holder Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this American Dream E-Z Stitch Floor Stand for my wife because she loves to cross-stitch and I thought it would be easier for her to cross-stitch with this stand since she is in a wheel chair. This item took forever to receive, and when we got it, it looked nothing like the beautiful Mahogany supposedly made out of redwood like the product information claimed. The stand we got looks like something we would buy at Walmart for $20.00. In other words... wood that is stained and not like the high quality wood product information claim it to be. It is not very sturdy but very wobbly, and even worse you have to stitch the the cross-stitch fabric to the wooden dowels in order for the stand to hold the fabric... so each time your need to move the cross-stitch fabric she has to unto the stitching and restitch it to the dowels. This Product is very deceiving and not worth $179.99. Instructions very difficult to understand. Instructions state there are accessories that can be bought separately for the stand but not listed in product information. If I could afford the postage, I would send it back and find her another cross-stitch stand. Very poor quality product for the price we paid for it. Very Very Unhappy!

If you are doing needlepoint using stretcher bars, it is difficult to
get the wooden clamps down tight enough to hold the bars securely.
I've got mine as tight as possible and my project still wiggles out
sometimes. Maybe it's better with dowels for scrolling or large
embroidery frames. I still like it and am working with it regularly.

(More customer reviews)This is a very attractive kit. I wish the "believe" letters were not printed on the canvas. When I stitched the first two I was not pleased with the results. I removed the stitches but replacing the colors with white does not work out well since the canvas dye shows through the white stitches. I am going to try a "fix" by affixing a tassel and jingle bell to each letter site. A person could try large buttons if that does not work. Good Luck & Merry Christmas!!

Dimensions Needlepoint Happy Snowman Stocking Review

(More customer reviews)The colors and design of this "happy snowman" initially attracted me to this particular stocking. I hadn't done any needlework for decades, but took the plunge in order to get it completed for my grandson. The threads were all clearly marked, organized and labeled on two separate cards that easily kept the threads untangled. The printed canvas, well-marked pattern and thread color legend were all very easy to follow. However, the patterned bands above and below the name strip were plain white on the pattern, which threw me off a bit. I did finally see that the actual pattern for those areas was above the stocking pattern instead of on it. The stocking took a tremendous amount of time to complete yet I am so glad I did it and am looking for another Dimensions stocking that will complement it. I found and bought a sweet cotton print that I used to line the stocking. Also, the eye of the needle that was included in the kit was a bit too small so I switched to a bigger one that speeded threading and got along much, much better. I am a bit concerned that the white fluff pom pom that's sewn onto the snowman's hat will not hold up well over the years. Regardless, this really has turned into a beautiful, fun piece.

(More customer reviews)This is my third xmas stocking that I'm cross stiching in 3 years. I've made one for each of my kids as I found out I was expecting. I am in no means a pro at cross stiching and it takes me close to a year to finish a project of this size. I have found that I really like the Dimension brand kits as it includes easy to understand directions and decent quality material. This kit had the yarn strings already seperated which saved me some prep time. This kit pattern includes a lot of mixing color strands which adds more depth to the finish project. A small hint to those not profficent at cross stiching, use masking tape on the edges of the fabric to prevent fraying instead of basting a stich around. Its saves time and works better than basting. (I wish someone had told me this earlier!)

(More customer reviews)Wow... I will never buy another brand of needlepoint kit again. The threads come pre-sorted and labeled. The smaller bunches are tied to a cardboard template and the larger bunches are tied together with labels. This is great! No guessing about what color is what. No getting to a new section only to find you used the wrong color before. No more ripping out mistaken color blocks.
My only not-so-positive comment is that, this is a 14x14 piece. The description, features and details listed in the Amazon listing are inconsistent. I was expecting a 5x7 piece, and was shocked when I got the 14x14 piece. Yikes! Bigger is not bad, just surprising.

(More customer reviews)Fairly easy to assmble. One of the pieces was not drawn correctly in the instructions so that took some time to figure out how to put it together. Light to move around. The only bad point is that the height is fixed and depending on the chair I'm using at the moment, I might need the frame to be higher. You can modify the arch of the structure to fix this, but it messes up with the balance so you have to hold it down with your feet.
But over all it is a good pruchase. It really helped me to speed up my needlepointing and it takes less time to set up or to stop.

(More customer reviews)This is not an item I would recommend for the beginner, unless they have already had a lot of experience with the preprinted plastic needlepoint kits. This canvas is cloth and not preprinted. I purchased it as a first craft for my seven year old, thinking it was preprinted. She found it very frustrating as a first-time project and I had to help her quite a bit. It's a lovely little keepsake once completed, but not something I would recommend if you're trying to build confidence in your crafter.
