(More customer reviews)I've just started learning embroidery and cross stitch, and I had a lot of fun with this kit. The stitches include half cross, french knots, chain stitch and back stitch, so I learned a lot. The stitches required anything from one thread to four threads at once, and sometimes mixed two colors together, something I had thought about trying. The instructions were helpful with everything from stitch types to framing, and the chart was very detailed so I could see exactly where the chain stitches started and stopped. The thread was beautifully shaded and the finished product is amazing. I can't believe I managed to produce this with my pitiful beginner skills.
I haven't done that many kits, but this one took me about three months to complete in my spare time.
Well worth every penny. I will be looking for more kits by this manufacturer.

It draws you into the setting and makes you want to be a part of the neighborhood....green lush grass, quaint summer cottages and a beautiful peaceful sea in the background...just a place I would like to be right now. Since I can't be..I will do the next best thing and spend hours stitching the scene...that will make me at least feel a part of this wonderful and enchanting landscape.

Larger patterns were too intimidating and so many patterns are just not my style, but this was perfect. I highly recommend this one to cross-stitchers of any experience level.

I don't know if it was the instructions or me but I decided I don't like cross stitch so I abandoned it. Embroidery is so much more fun and I think it looks better too. The diagrams and instructions and materials were pretty good, though, I thought.
