Bobbin Saver Combo - 3 Pack Review

However I had two problems with using it
1) I have more bobbins than fit into the holders
2) I had to find place for it, it seemed to always be in the way
I found an alternative solution that works for me better. I use one of my thread racks like this one 120 Spool Wood Thread Rack - By Threadart for bobbins. I can fit three bobbins on every peg. So I dedicated three rows to bobbins with three bobbin on top of each, organized by color (light, medium, dark on each peg for that color). The colors are easy to see and bobbins are well organized, so when I need a shade I know exactly where to find it. The rack hangs on the wall, so it is accessible but totally out of the way.

(More customer reviews)I found this item to be at a great price! Other places sold it for much more than Amazon. The shipping cost was also reasonable. I received the item very quickly.
I was a little disppointed because the instructions included with this item are vary vague and difficult to read. The pictures are small and not very detailed. However, I think the instructions are pre-packaged in the item so not necessarily a seller problem. I would just recommend searching for turtorial videos... I found quite a few on YouTube. This was a great help.
Be sure to practice before actually using this on a quilt. It's easy to learn!

Later I used an Olfa and found that it's not nearly as easy to use, but, of course, people get used to it. The only disadvantage of Clover is that you have to remember to close it up each time so you don't accidentally cut yourself. But I think cutting fabric is hard, and Clover makes it easier.

I have used DMC perle cotton for 30 years plus, and feel this thread is as nice if not better. It is a little more tightly twisted than the DMC, and glides through linen fabric with ease.

4 X-Large Spools of White Bobbin Thread. These are 60wt 2ply Filament Bobbin Thread. Each spool has 5000 meters of thread on it. This will last you a long long time and you do not need to worry about running out of Bobbin thread while Embroidering. Each spool is brand new and is individually shrink wrapped to prevent damage from dust. Polyester has little or no lint. Hence your machine will run longer between cleanings. This thread is very shiny appearance, thin, lightweight and yet extremely strong. Embroiders love this since it creates a soft backing, even on dense designs. Many machine quilters like using a filament poly thread in the bobbin. Due to it's slick surface, it works well with metallic threads and heavy cotton threads. The slickness of the filament poly thread does not snag or grab the top thread. (More customer reviews)This is an example of user ignorance (not product problems). The foot looked like what we needed for our sewing machine, and my wife swore that it was the one she needed. However, when we got the item, it didn't work on her machine.
Shipping on it was so expensive, it wouldn't have been worth our effort to return the product. We were stuck with something we can't use.
But it wasn't the fault of the seller -- it was our own ignorance.
We finally travelled to a city where they sold the feet, and got a salesman to help us find what we needed.

Brother SABOBCLIP Bobbin Clips, Pack of 10 Review

(More customer reviews)I recently got a new brothers sewing/embroidery machine and it came with four bobbins, each with these wierd little bobbin clips. I didn't get it a first, until I wond all four bobbins, put the clips on them and clipped them all together. It's great, the thread doesn't unwind and get everywhere and with them all clipped together they're easy to find. But it got even better! The machine came with a little box to hold needles, screw driver, bobbins, thread puller, feet, etc. Well in the lid of the box are four pegs that the bobbin clips can clip on to as well, keeping them at the top of the box and completely out the way. I love these things. They make having prewond bobbins convient again.
